Behind the brand and logo

The name and brand represent a nickname received in her senior years of high school by friends that translates to Miss Hollie J thanks to a photoshoot when an interest of modelling started.

The logo comprises of natural and native Australian flora that have many traditional meanings and uses depending on the Country and Nation you are from. Including ghost gum, eucalyptus leaves, gumnuts, and a variety of blossoms, bark, banksias and grevilleas.

Photographed in the backyard on Country the logo also includes a pair of gifted clapsticks, traditional woven basket, Nan’s Bogong Moth art piece and Pop’s hand-crafted artefacts with burnt traditional symbols on them.

The gum leaves play an important part in the logo just as they play a vital role in our being as First Nations People of Australia. Connecting us to Self, Family, Community and to our Ancestors, ensuring we are looking after Country as she looks after us.

They are used in Smoking Ceremonies, both at the beginning and or end. Whether it be for Welcomes, Cleansings, Births, Smoking of Cloaks, Deaths, Marriages and any other significant occasions or events. Having them in the logo allows for Country to always be present.
